the greatness of a craftsman should not exceed that of his humility. a person's praise and elevation can only exist with the presence of those who have placed him or her there. the focus is not where you stand nor who you are perceived to be. the focus ought to be on your craft, and if you decide to share that, then on those whom you wish to give it to.                   

 

 

food, being very personal, tends to be a touchy subject. what began as basic nourishment has now become ever so complicated. from simply feeding the body to feeding the ego, from a necessity to a business. this in and of itself is not necessarily a progression to the negative.


cooking for and feeding another human being is a wonderful gesture that each and every person is capable of doing. the act of preparing a dish for another is the ability to have a dialogue without speaking, to visit memories without traveling, and to understand an individual without ever meeting.
